No camera's on the 3rd and 4th floor, and no cameras on the stairs or elevators. New management is terrible, they don't call you back and are very unprofessional. I'm always getting citizen notifications about something going wrong at 808 Berry, but they never tell the residents... WHY? Dear New Management: MAKE THIS COMPLEX SAFE AGAIN!!!! WHY ARE THERE DRUNK PEOPLE YELLING AND MAKING NOISES AT 2-4 AM??? WHERE ARE THE CAMERAS TO PROTECT RESIDENTS? WHY AREN'T THERE MORE CAMERAS IN THE GARAGE.
Poor management - no updated lease was received when our renewal came. Only a lease with updated rent charges, the rest of the pages were the same as the first lease we received. Errors in parking information and blanks left for pet / parking fees. Management provided underground parking - but it really turns into a protected areas for thieves to search through your cars and steal what they can. My car was broken into twice, my motorcycle was stolen, and my neighbors car was broken into 3 times. Management claimed no camera footage caught anything. There are cameras facing the only garage exit and management was notified within 24 hours of the theft. Do not recommend.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! THEY WILL CON YOU OUT OF $$$, LIE, AND PLAY DUMB WITH YOU AND YOU MIGHT END UP IN A FILTHY UNIT. TOOK OVER 3 MONTHS FOR THEM TO PROCESS MY APPLICATION. BECAUSE THEY PURPOSELY STALLED...PROCESSING ONE PART AT A TIME/PER WEEK. WHEN MORE INFO WAS NEEDED DIDN'T CALL TO ASK FOR IT. THEY WAITED UNTIL I CALLED. DO THE MATH: MOST BUILDINGS YOU LEAVE ASK FOR 2 MONTHS NOTICE. THAT'S RIGHT. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. ONCE HERE, I FOUND MY NEW "LUXURY" APT TO BE PURE GHETTO. EVEN WORSE THAN GHETTO. CAT URINE ON THE WALLS, DIRTY, OVEN CLEANER STILL IN OVEN, AIR VENTS WITH FOOD DRIPPING FROM THEM, NOT GUM ON WALLS, AND GENERALLY VERY UNCLEAN. KOOL-AID STAINS AND OTHER STAINS ON OLD OLD CARPET, GREASE ON MICROWAVE, AND DIDN'T CLEAN AROUND FRIDGE. aND FILTHY BALCONY WITH DIRT DOOR FRAME AND GREASE STAINS. DID I MENTION THE FRIGHTFULLY WEAK FLOOR BOARDS IN THE BALCONY? NOT TOTALLY FAIR: ALL THE DOOR FRAMES AND TRIM IN MY APT WAS NASTY. HADN'T BEEN PAINTED OVER OVER THE COURSE OF SEVERAL TENANTS. (FOUND THIS OUT BY USING DUE DILLIGENCE.) BLINDS FALLING APART. AND WILL PLACE PRETEND MAINTENANCE ORDERS THEN WHEN YOU ASK WHY NO REPAIRS THEY WILL RUDELY TELL YOU THEY HAVE A "MAINTENANCE STAFF SHORTAGE" WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE TOLD ME THAT TO BEGIN WITH ?!!!!!!!!! THE LEASE CLEARLY SAYS THEY HAVE THE OPTION TO ALLOW YOU TO SUBLEASE TO GET THE HEY OUT OF HERE,, BUT THEY WON'T. YOU'LL BE STUCK HERE UNLESS YOU FORK UP THE MONEY TO BUY OUT YOUR LEASE. LET ME GIVE THEM CREDIT. THEY DID CHANGE THE CARPET . BUT WHY ARE THEY PUTTING TENANTS INTO GHETTO UNITS TO BEGIN WITH? DID MY DUE DILLIGENCE AND APPARENTLY THIS IS THE NORM. ESPECHIALLY FOR SECTION 42 UNITS. TO MAKE IT WORSE ONE OFFICE STAFF HAS BEEN LYING TO ME ABOUT CONVERSATIONS WE'VE HAD AND HAS BEEN VERY MEAN AND DECEITFUL TO ME. TRICKED ME OUT OF MONEY THEN LIED ABOUT WHAT ALL TOOK PLACE. TOPPING IT OFF WITH NOT KEEPING HER WORD AND PLAYING DUMB LIKE DOSENS'T REMEMBER THINGS SHE SAID. THIS TREATMENT WASN'T JUST TO ME, I SAW ONE GUY REPORT THAT HIS CAR HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO IN THE PARKING GARAGE. SAME LADY TOLD HIM THEY WILL "SEE IF WE CAN WATCH THE VIDEO FOR IT. " AND BASICALLY TRIED TO BLAME HIM ASKING IF HE LEFT HIS CAR DOOR OPEN! LOL. HE SAID THEY USED THE FIRE DISTINGUISHER TO SMASH HIS CAR WINDOW! SHE SHOWED NO EMPATHY! JUST DEFENSE FOR THE BUILDING! BUILDING WILL SERIOUSLY DOG YOU OUT AND NOT GIVE ONE HOOT. DO NOT MOVE HERE. DID I MENTION THE CRIME IN THE BUILDING?
They got roaches bad, tenants not reporting it in.
I moved out in January and still didn't get my deposit check in May. I'll be moving out from my current apartment soon and still didn't get clear response on the date when I get my check.
