I have to question a companies professionalism when the safety of residents and their right to peaceful living is disregarded in favor of keeping a unit full. I am specifically speaking about Arron at the St. Cloud location. His complacency is astounding. I have lived at Stratford Terrace for several months now. I have been dealing with an upstairs neighbor who at all hours of the day is either pounding on the walls or floor and it's constant. In addition they are obviously having physical disputes as at times it sounds very violent. I am not one to call the cops but when I brought this to the attention of management their response was "we arent the police". It strictly states in the leasing contract in section 7 that there is a strict noise ordinance and it is enforced outside of quiet time hours and that in certain cases cops can be called. So what cases exactly? Whats the extent? Does someone need to be murdered in order for management to care about the well being of their tenants.
Poorly maintained building. Lack of adequate responsiveness by staff. Problems are said to be fixed but not done properly. Attempted to increase rent beyond the legal limit. Mold issues in my building. Basically seems to be a building to pump out revenue while cutting costs. Lack of professionalism and following ethical business practices. Feels a bit slumlord-y
I have only positive things to say about At Home Apartments. I realize the company owns many different properties and management may very from building to building but the one building (East River Apartments) and two apartments I've lived in have been wonderful, extremely clean and well maintained, and run by responsive, friendly people. I rented right in the early days of the pandemic (June 2020) and the whole staff was unbelievably helpful, careful and respectful. I would give them six stars if I could.
Went through the application process with this company. At first they seemed very responsive and helpful. I mentioned to the people I was working with that I had a guarantor if I needed one. I was assured by 3 different people including the property manager that the issue wasn’t an automatic denial. They processed my application and sent me a “notice of adverse action”. No one bothered to contact me about having a guarantor, and as soon as they decided they were not renting to me the niceties went out the window. I responded back about having a guarantor and did not hear back. Very rude and unprofessional. They just want to make money clearly and don’t care much about their prospective renters. The lack of problem solving in trying to help me secure the apartment was disappointing to say the least. At least I know now not to rent with this company.
I lived with At Home Apartments for a few years. If I needed maintenance their guys were there quickly. Paying my rent was easy through their app! No surprise nickel and dime’n like other places I’ve experienced. I will definitely be moving back with the company after my current lease!
