I lived here from June '21 to April '22 and can honestly say this was my best apartment experience. Excellent noise control, immaculately clean, exceptionally approachable management. Ana and Dustin are incredible. Any time there was an issue they would work to resolve it, communicate clearly, and take responsibility. I had to move because of work, but now every property I visit, I actively compare to my experience here.
UPDATE-July 2021 Ana has been a great property manager and we are very happy with East End! They had a nice BarBQ recently catered by Umbra. The resident activities are fun and there is a really nice vibe here :) So far so good!! We signed the lease in Jan. 2021. The application process went smoothly and the apt. is in great shape and quiet for downtown living-facing the inner courtyard and pool area. Abbey Martinson (Sr. Leasing Consultant) and Ana Orrison (Property Manager) have been so very helpful throughout this process. The apartment finishes are really nice with melamine closet shelves (not wire), French-door refrigerator, full-size dishwasher, full-size washer and dryer, vent fans in the bathrooms, and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The thermostat, living room ceiling light and numerous outlets are tied to the SMART home app IOTAS and you can control it all via the cell phone app. Plus they gave us an Alexa Echo Dot when we moved in which is cool for streaming music and turning on/off lights. The convenience factor of walking down through the apartment building lobby directly to the entrance area for Trader Joes grocery AND liquor store cannot be ignored!! It is so wonderful to not have to walk outside and the lobby elevator is sooo close to the stores :) It is a very short walk to Starbucks and Jimmy Johns from the outside entrances. Once the pandemic issues subside we will see how quick "downtown" living rebounds and what it's like to live near US Bank Stadium during a Vikings game or concert. We put in a work order and are awaiting some floor tape removal from the living room (prior tenant) and I will post how long it took to get it taken care of. EDIT- low priority issue and it was removed 2 wks later :) Learn from our mistake-when parking underground on the first day in the East End guest area, I thought there was a discount..but it is NOT automatic, you have to have a discount ticket from the leasing office or else push the help button to exit. We just stuck in our credit card and it charged $60 for 5 1/2 hrs parking. I know this is a mistake, but I will at least warn whomever reads this post!
I lived here from 2020-2022 in 3 different units. Ana, the property manager, was a breath of fresh air: good at her job, attentive, and just a great human overall. Dustin is also a pleasure to work with. Pros: Pool, Gym, Big Windows, Grill Space, Acceptable Noise Levels, Management, Easy To Move In/Out, Package Delivery, Overall Cleanliness, Nice Finishes, Secure Parking/Building, Trader Joe's AND Jimmy John's in the building! Cons: Maintenance (takes way too long for repairs, need to get a more dedicated repairman)
I’ve moved a lot in my life and I’m several different cities and I can say this is without a doubt the best apartment I’ve ever lived in. The units are so gorgeous and the amenities are incredible. But honestly the best part of the entire place is the staff. They are SO nice and truly care about their residents. If I could give East End more than five stars I would. An incredible place to call home!
Currently living here. Solid building overall and of course great location. But full-time tenants should proceed with caution as a lot of maintenance is ignored on the property and for a newer building, units (at least mine) can have a lot of issues that pop up. Management can be nonresponsive and try to overcharge/tack on fees, so you have to watch your bill closely. I travel a lot so benefits of the Light Rail to airport nearby + access to Trader Joe's has had to outweigh the issues. I'd look at Ox-Op or others nearby if I could do over.
