Overall I really enjoy living here. The staff are responsive, the place is kept very clean, and the amenities are great. Lots dogs and very dog friendly. I see a lot of reviews upset about the parking guidelines, but the facility is very honest about the parking policy will all residents and this is posted in the elevators as well.
I lived in the apartment building for two years and loved it! The amenities, staff, community, and vibes were wonderful. Parking would get annoying sometimes as the small lot would fill up fast. However, the street parking is not a far walk. I would highly recommend living at Liberty!
I really love our apartment and the location of the apartment complex is awesome. My only issue is parking. I pay for parking, yet I’ve had multiple incidents where I’ve had to park in the guest area due to non residents parking in the resident area. It’s frustrating walking up to the entrance and seeing just how many cars don’t have a pass hanging from their mirror, meanwhile I’m a paying resident and having to park further away. I’m assuming it’s only going to get worse once winter is here.
We relocated back to MN, and were looking for a temporary place until we found a home. We narrowed our search down to 3 locations, and after discussions with reps, we chose The Liberty. We were looking for a small place, as we have little furniture and lots of boxes, so we wanted storage options and a garage. The Liberty offered that, as well as modern apartment features. The staff was very accommodating in where to place our 3 uHaul boxes, so the moving company could unload them. We would highly recommend The Liberty. We just finished our short term lease of 6 months at The Liberty. It was our first experience renting in 50 years and thank heavens for modernization. We recommend The Liberty and enjoyed their amenities.
I would not recommend living here. This place is nothing but problems and constant construction. With so many new apartments opening in the Minneapolis area, my recommendation is to tour and live in a different one. Where do I start? The apartment maintenance manager told me my window seals are defective. They leak every time it rains, causing puddles of water and humidity levels reaching 75%. Management plays the game of “it’s the construction companies fault so they will have to fix it”. I reported this issue two months ago and they still have not fixed it, and I constantly need to ask for update. No one has reached out to me with updates. When I asked to move out because the leaking windows, humidity, and potential for mold growth threaten my health, they tell me I need to pay 2-months rent to move out. How is it my fault the leaking windows is a city code violation, and maintenance won't fix this issue in a reasonable amount of time? The Liberty Apartments advertise amenities before they have them available for resident use, and then they blame unavailability on construction delays. For example, the dog park (see my photos), is in a construction zone and literally is a swamp. They have been saying since I moved in that they are trying to fix the problem (~ 4 months), and it is still not fixed. When I first moved in, my washer and dryer were not even hooked up. When I used my oven for the first time it filled my apartment with toxic electric-smelling smoke, and when I called maintenance after hours, they told me it was not a qualifying maintenance request. Also, really read your lease agreement closely, because they hold you to it, even if you were told different things when touring. I am a very reasonable person, and I have lived in many apartments in the Minneapolis area, and take my word for it, there are better places out there. Someone from the property management company will probably comment about this review, and my comment to them is if you responded as quickly to issues with the apartment as you do these reviews, you would have a 5-star rating right now. Also, I think its funny that your vendors leave 5-star reviews to boost your ratings.
